Mostly overcast with very occasional sunny periods.

Conditions

Mixed. On some slopes there was still powder, on others the previous day's sun and overnight frost had produced crud.

Overall

After the usual group trip down First Time, Chris and I headed up towards the summit on Eagle lift. After three quick runs from King Con we moved over to Pioneer for the rest of the morning, covering every run on that side of the mountain.

For the trip down to meet Sue for lunch, we chose a run that neither of us had done. Described as little more than a couple of moguls wide, Shaft looks frighteningly narrow from across the valley. In fact, it was wider that it looked and glading had thinned out the trees between Shaft and Crescent.

After lunch, visibility gradually deteriorated. We started with some of the long mogul runs off Ski Team and then moved from lift to lift around the summit area, alternating easy cruises with moguls. We were trying to fit in as many runs as possible and sneaked one fast run down Propector before the trip down to the base.

For the last trip down, we chose Crescent. Visibility by now was apalling and with that and the vast number of people, there was no way to ski other than one mogul at a time. That we were able to do that pretty easily was a tribute the experience of the week - Crescent is pretty steep near the bottom.
